Durango Winter Sports Foundation
DWSF provides support for the Alpine, Freestyle and Nordic ski clubs as well as the Snowboard and Freeride Teams in Durango. Each team is dedicated to providing quality training for athletes dedicated to pursuing excellence in winter sports.
DWSF was set up with the aim of increasing participation in winter sports, encouraging children to make positive decisions in life and strive to achieve their personal goals. DWSF strives to do this by providing financial, developmental, and organizational support to the athletes, their coaches, clubs, and programs.

Every child growing up in our corner of the world deserves a start. At the Durango Winter Sports Foundation, we are passionate about local kids doing great things. We make this happen by offering a level playing field for Alpine, Nordic and Freestyle skiers from many walks of life.
With community support, we provide the necessary coaching and training each year for youth athletes. Scholarships are available when needed. Many are developing skiers and some are elite athletes. Everyone however, gets his or her chance in the starting gate.
Youth programs supported by DWSF inspire fun, fitness, sportsmanship and personal achievement from children who are just developing their skills to athletes with high level aspiration for their sport.
Participating clubs offer a variety of athletic opportunities that meet the talents, interests and needs of the children in the Four Corners region. Click on “Teams” at the top of the page to learn more about various disciplines and each team’s compete and non-compete opportunities.
DWSF is a not for profit organization representing over 200 young skiers in Durango, CO and the surrounding area.
