U20/U18/U16 Comp (14 years and older)

Coach(s): Gary Colliander, Kristen McGrath, Levi Kurlander

For high school aged kids with a focus leaning more towards racing. Skiers will continue developing their skills and fitness in a fun environment with a goal towards competing in more statewide, national and international competitions. This group meets Tuesday through Sunday during the winter. Check Team Schedule for dryland schedule.


U20/U18/U16 Comp Development

Coach(s): Gary Colliander, Kristen McGrath, Levi Kurlander

For high school aged kids with a focus on continuing the development of their ski skills and fitness. Racing is starting to become a focus, but not a priority. This group meets Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday during the winter. Check Team Schedule for dryland schedule. This group will practice alongside the U20/U18/U16 Comp Team.


Middle School & High School Devo

Coach(s): Mike Dietzman, Deb Sussex, Gunther Ott

Whether you’re just starting out or have been skiing for a couple seasons, this group will focus on the FUNdamental skills & fitness of skiing in both classic and skate ski techniques. This group meets Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday during the winter. Check Team Schedule for dryland schedule.


U14/U12 Boys and Girls Advanced

Coach(s): Paige Elliott, Abe Ott

Skiers will be introduced to the FUNdamental skills of skiing in both classic and skate ski techniques with an introduction to racing. Racing is not mandatory. This group meets up to four days per week allowing for more time and learning on snow. This group meets Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday during the winter. U10 Boys and Girls

Coach: Stan Ott & Dakota Jones

A good beginner program for skiers graduating from the Snowburners Program, or who are just new to Nordic skiing. Skiers will experience Nordic skiing in a REALLY fun environment. Developing basic skills on skis and learning both classic and skate techniques will be addressed. This group meets Tuesday and Saturday during the winter. Check Team Schedule for dryland schedule.


U14 Nordies

Coach: Sarah Tescher & Garrett Alexander

For the youngster (ages 8-14 years old) who wants to get off the beaten path and use skiing as a way to venture out into the wilderness in a fun and safe environment. This group will meet once a week on Tuesdays starting in mid-January through mid-March with a weekend day trip. Scaled touring/classic skis are needed for this group.


High School Nordies

Coach: Garrett Alexander & TBD

For the high school skier who wants to get off the beaten path and use skiing as a way to venture out into the wilderness in a fun and safe environment. This group will meet once a week on Wednesdays starting in mid-January through mid-March with a weekend day trip. Scaled touring/classic skis are needed for this group.

U14 Advanced – $675 total

U14 Nordies – $230 total

**Adult skiers should purchase Nordic Center Season Passes at the Nordic Center. $100 prior to December 25 and $125 after December 25.

Rocky Mountain Nordic (RMN) memberships support RMN and its events, and allows for skiers to be scored in the Colorado Cup Club Series.

Durango Nordic receives liability insurance through USSA, therefore DNSC members need a USSA membership. USSA also provides the scoring for all NRL races, which DNSC skiers participate in.

The Tech Fee covers the operating costs of running the online registration program.
